  2. SYMPTOMS include pain when swallowing, fever (105 - 106 F.), sore throat,
  3. malaise, vomiting, headache and chills.
  4. CAUSES. This is an acute inflammation of the tonsils. They are located above
  5. and behind the tongue. Inflammation usually caused by bacteria.
  6. TREATMENT. Antibiotics, salt water gargle and rest.
  7. .Surgery to remove tonsil may be required.
